STUDENT AMBASSADORS

Some of the Things That the Case Student Ambassadors Do

In short, we do whatever we can to make your visit enjoyable, but the long version is much much more. First off remember that we're students first, not car saleman. So if you hang out with an ambassadors, especially during a week night, expect to get the REAL experience into college life, which believe it or not, can be tough at times. Don't worry though, we don't study 24/7, and if we signed up to host you, we will make sure you have lots of fun.

Overnight Hosting

This is by far the role we play the most. It's the main reason for the program. Overnight hosting takes place throughout the year in conjunction with admission open house events. You supply the sleeping bag, we supply the floor or if you're lucky, the couch (yes, the floor isn't that great, but we can't have a spare bed in our rooms :)). Don't forget to bring your curiosity and questions. One of the worst things you can do when you get here is to sit in a corner all night reading a book. You're here to find out about Case, and your ambassador is here to show you and tell you about Case, so be sure to take advantage of it. The overnights take place on the weekends so there should be some exciting things happening around campus. That's also the best days to catch us when we're not bogged down with homework. To set up an overnight, register online on the campus visit web page. We need at least two weeks (and that is a bare minimum) to set you up, so please contact us early. An effort will be made to match you with someone who has a similar background to yourself, academically and/or socially. You might also room with someone from your hometown or you might end up with someone totally different from you, but hey--that's what college is all about.

E-Mail/Phone Correspondence

So you don't have time to visit the campus? No big deal. We'll arrange for you to keep in e-mail correspondence with a Case Student Ambassador. Or we can arrange a phone call or two. Better yet, you can contact a Case Student Ambassador using the lists. Simply locate an ambassador with similar interests and send him/her an e-mail.

Other Things We Do

Case Student Ambassadors visit their high schools during breaks, we send postcards to congratulate admitted students, we voluteer to talk about college life at open house programs...you'll see us in all types of roles at Case...we're EVERYWHERE!
