Athletics
Case is a charter member of the University Athletic Association, a unique NCAA Division III conference comprised of eight similar leading private research universities. Non-varsity athletes looking for some friendly (but still spirited) competition participate in a number of intramural and club sports.

Over five hundred students, which is nearly 20 percent of undergraduates, wear the blue and white Spartan uniform. Case athletes thrive on competition, relish challenge, and love to work hard at something they enjoy. They also maintain consistently high levels of academic achievement: the average cumulative GPA of Case student-athletes is 3.27.
As members of the UAA, the Spartans travel to competitions in far reaching venues, such as Atlanta, New York City, St. Louis, Boston and Chicago. UAA members seek excellence in athletics while keeping the ideal of the student-athlete and teh academic mission of each institution clearly in focus.
Student-athletes meet the same standards for admission and academic performance as all other students. Athletic scholarships are prohibited in the NCAA's Division III (the division has been called "athletics in perspective") and criteria for financial aid apply equally to all students.
Club Sports
Case sponsors a number of athletic teams that compete in a host of competitions at the non-varsity level. Teams are as varied as Crew (you practice your rowing on the Cuyahoga River in downtown Cleveland,) Ice Hockey, Skiing and Snowboarding, and Ultimate Frisbee. We also have new club teams in men's golf and men's and women's fencing.
Intramural Sports
Over 70 percent of Case undergraduates compete in the more relaxed setting of intramural sports. With divisions including residence hall, fraternity, sorority, and open, there is a level for everyone. Co-ed teams are popular ways to get to know some of your classmates - nothing says camaraderie like sharing sweat!
