Research project or internship/co-op experience:
SOURCE-funded Capstone in cognitive science studying the effect of music on running.
Extracurricular interests:
Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor track captain. Case Association of Student Athletes representative.
Biography:
My favorite Case memory is leading the cross country to the highest national finish in Case history (in any sport), and having my teammates tell me that I was a good captain.
Why did you choose to attend Case?:
The strength in Early Music focus at the undergraduate level.
What do you like best about Case?:
Within my departments (music, cognitive science and varsity athletics) I feel like I am at home and part of the department families.
Describe the best professor you've had at Case. What made him or her special?:
I have had a lot of one-on-one interaction with several of my professors and my coach. My advisers are very supportive of me, both professionally and personally.
What do you plan to do after graduation, and how has Case helped you reach that goal?:
I want to be a teacher eventually, so I will have to get certified before I can work at a public school. I have applied for a Fulbright to teach English in Germany, and plan to apply for another to do the same in Austria. If neither of those pan out, I will apply for other education-related jobs to get some teaching experience before starting a masters program in education with certification.
