Biography:
I plan to attend graduate school in clinical psychology, hopefully studying cognitive neuroscience. I also plan to continue my Spanish pursuit and continue to write poetry. I think that I made the most out of the Case experience by taking advantage of the vast opportunities available and really making my profs and Case work for me. I think that the activities I have chosen to be a part of have helped me gain valuable life skills that will always come in handy.
Why did you choose to attend Case?:
It just felt right. I loved the atmosphere, the University Circle area, and I met Prof. Thomas Sayers Ellis as a prospective student. I just felt like I would belong and make something out of myself here.
What do you like best about Case?:
My professors and being around intelligent peers who actually care about their work.
What's it like to live in Cleveland?:
I'm from a suburb of Cleveland, so I love Cleveland.
What do you do for fun on the weekends?:
I go to coffee shops, hang out with my sorority sisters or friends, watch movies, go to events, go to concerts, or if I have a ton of work due I'll find a buddy and work on homework for a night (but I rarely do that).
Describe the best professor you've had at Case. What made him or her special?:
It is hard to pick just one because I have had three great professors, Dr. Demaree, Prof. Ellis, and Prof. Jacqueline Nanfito. All three of them have shown me who they really are as a person and not just as a professor and I have a very personal relationship with all three professors. Dr. D is my mentor as far as psychology, Ellis constantly pushes me to be a better poet, and Prof. Nanfito encourages me to become a better Spanish speaker. All three show that they truly care about what they do and that they truly love teaching.
