Co-Op Program
Our cooperative education program offers students the opportunity to maximize their education by supplementing it with paid practical career experience. Students in engineering, science, management, and accounting are eligible.
Co-op enables students to integrate classroom theory with practice in a work setting consistent with their major field of study. Co-op assignments are typically for two seven-month periods, each period consisting of the summer and a contiguous spring or fall semester. During these periods, students have time to become involved with long-term, challenging projects.
The program does not add or reduce the amount of course work necessary to graduate, but it does rearrange the academic course load. Approximately one year of additional time is necessary to participate in the practical training and to complete academic requirements. Co-op is a voluntary, non-credit program.
