My parents are divorced. Whose information should I use on the FAFSA?

A:
When completing the FAFSA, students should use the information of their custodial parent and stepparent if their custodial parent has remarried. If a student’s custodial parent has not remarried, use only the information of the custodial parent. We may ask for information about the student’s non-custodial parent later in the process.
