Frequently Asked Questions

Housing
  • Q: What is the food situation at Case?
  • A: All first-year students are required to be on a meal plan that includes either 17 or 19 meals per week, or 200 meals per semester (unless you opt for a 10 or 14 Hala/Kosher meal plan). Meals are available at the Leutner Resident Dining Café, the Fribley Marché, L3 Grill (Leutner Lower Level), and the Sears “Grab It!” on the Case Quad. In addition, CASEcash can be used at a variety of on- and off- campus retail dining locations. It can be used at on-campus stores and for services such as the University bookstore; snack shops; selected copy, vending, and laundry machines; and selected University Circle and area merchants. Dollars can be added with a credit card at any time through the CASEcard Web site or using cash at value transfer stations on campus. But what's there to eat? When you grab a tray, you can choose from made-to-order specialties, stir-fry and other Asian cuisine - even a wide array of vegetarian and vegan options. And pizza. Definitely pizza. There are also grill stations, an extensive salad bar, home-style entrees, a full deli, soups, fresh fruit, desserts, and more. Plus, there's always something going on at the dining halls. The year is filled with theme meals, monotony breakers, premium nights, contests, and holiday celebrations. You won't want to miss the traditional Late Night Breakfast during finals week.
