Biography:
I fell in love with Case from the moment I stepped foot on campus. The people were so friendly, it's a beautiful campus, there are endless resources here, and the university has a top-notch reputation. I was also really attracted to all that Cleveland and University Circle have to offer, from museums to concert halls to sports teams.
What do you like best about Case?:
I love Case for so many reasons! I've met so many amazing people here. I've never had a bad experience with a professor or another student because everyone is extremely friendly, intelligent, and eager to learn. There are also numerous opportunities to get involved on campus, which I have taken advantage of. All of the clubs and groups that I'm involved in have definitely enriched my experience.
What's it like to live in Cleveland?:
The weather's a little crazy, but Cleveland has a lot to offer :) Downtown is only a 15-minute drive away, and University Circle around campus has a lot of cultural resources. Just a 5-minute drive from campus is Coventry, a popular area with lots of dining, bookstores, and small shops. Campus is a very close community but having Cleveland in the background is great if you want a taste of city life!
What has been your biggest challenge as a student at Case?:
I've gotten very involved in my two years on campus, so it's been a challenge for me to balance my school work and my extracurricular activities. However, I've managed to get really good grades and be very active on campus, so after finding that balance, it's been the best of both worlds!
What do you do for fun on the weekends?:
Weekends are definitely a time to relax, maybe catch up on some lost sleep :)
There's always something going on on campus so I usually grab some friends and explore what's going on at Case. However, my weekends range from heading downtown to see an Indians game to driving up to Beachwood for some shopping to seeing a new exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art to going to a concert that's stopping through Cleveland.
Describe the best professor you've had at Case. What made him or her special?:
There isn't one in particular that's coming to mind because all of my professors have been wonderful. They are all so eager to get to know students on a personal level, and I've found that they are very flexible and understanding. Courses here are challenging, but the faculty makes it easy to get help and stay ahead.
What do you plan to do after graduation, and how has Case helped you reach that goal?:
I plan to go to law school after I graduate. Case has such a strenuous academic program that I feel prepared to do well on the LSAT and get into top tier law schools. There is also a pre-law advisor to answer any questions pre-law students may have.
