SAGES
SAGES at Case

"I discovered the endless opportunities and resources here at Case. I learned about perspectives, passions and creativity."

- Lindsay Miller, Mechanical engineering major

In an iPod World. Writing Rock and Roll. Seven Debates on Globalization. Sport and American Culture. The Greek Mathematical Life.

Not your typical college courses. But then again, SAGES, our Seminar Approach to General Education and Scholarship, isn't like other common curricula.

Woven into all four years of your Case career, SAGES is a springboard into new ways of thinking, new methods of communicating and opportunities for leadership and intellectual growth, bringing together students of all majors, faculty from all over the university and community leaders from northeast Ohio. And if that's not enough for you, how many college programs do you know of that have their own coffeehouse?

In the fall of your freshmen year, you'll enroll in a First Seminar that promotes engagement and discussion and is led by a faculty member who will serve as your first-year mentor. Next, you'll take two University Seminars, taught by our renowned faculty. In your third year of study, you'll take a Departmental Seminar where you will apply communication and critical thinking skills to your chosen field. The Senior Capstone project is the final step in the SAGES program. Projects range from individual to group projects and from scientific studies to creative endeavors.

All SAGES programs enhance your skills and contribute to your overall education at Case. Learn more about SAGES or check out what current students think about the program.
