Combined Undergraduate and Graduate Programs
|
With our own highly ranked graduate and professional schools on the same campus as our undergraduate colleges, Case students have unparalleled exposure to top programs. We offer several ways to combine undergraduate and graduate studies, often in less time than it would take to complete the degree separately.
Pre-Professional Scholars Program
Our Pre-Professional Scholars Program (PPSP) grants outstanding students admission to Case as an undergraduate and conditional admission to one of Case's professional schools (medicine, dental medicine, law and social work).
B.S./M.S.
Why stop at a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, natural sciences or statistics when you can earn a master’s in just one extra year? The added coursework and continued interaction with professors will make you more marketable as potential employee to industry leaders or as a doctoral student. You can apply for this program after completing 75 semester hours.
Integrated Graduate Studies
You’re one smart cookie. Gifted and motivated, you want to take your studies to the next level. The Integrated Graduate Studies program will allow you to fulfill requirements for a Bachelor of Arts and the first year of a Master of Arts or a Master of Science program. Candidates for this program apply during their junior year and must meet certain criteria, such as specific a GPA range and/or the completion of an entrance exam; criteria vary among majors.
Accounting
Crunch these numbers: one bachelor’s degree + one master’s degree = possible higher starting salaries or rapid advancement in the workplace. This five-year program will allow you to pursue simultaneously both an undergraduate and graduate degree in accounting (from the renowned Weatherhead School of Management), which will provide you with more than enough credit hours to take the CPA exam. It just adds up.
B.S. in Engineering/Master of Engineering and Management
The Institute of Management and Engineering (TiME), a collaboration of the Case School of Engineering and the Weatherhead School of Management, provides students with a B.S. in engineering and a Master of Engineering and Management (MEM). The combined degrees give you rigorous training in engineering, as well as a foundation in contemporary business practices, including management, communications, marketing, finance and operations.
Senior Year in Professional Studies at Case
If you are admitted to a Case professional school by the end of your junior year, you may be able to shorten your undergraduate course work by one year through Senior Year in Professional Studies. This privilege is extended to students pursuing a B.A. at Case who will attend our School of Dental Medicine, School of Medicine, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing or Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.
Senior Year in Absentia
If you are pursuing a B.A. at Case and are offered admission at the end of your junior year to a medical or dental school other than those at Case, you may be eligible to reduce your undergraduate course work by one year through Senior Year in Absentia. If you are accepted into this program, you may substitute work during your first year in a professional school other than those at Case for course work required during the last year in your B.A. program here. After you successfully complete your first year in professional school, you earn your B.A. from the College of Arts and Sciences.
